In an increasingly flexible world, the manufacturing industry faces the challenge of developing optimal and adaptable strategies. In our webinar, which is based on the FAIRWork project's research on 'Optimisation in Decision Support Systems', we will address these key questions: How can we identify the right optimisation process, and how can artificial intelligence (AI) significantly improve decision-making? We will present our proven approach, from conceptualisation to concrete implementation, and demonstrate practical applications based on an AI-driven optimisation approach.
Example: AI-Powered Certification Documents Review Certain tools and equipment used in the industry require annual certification. One project partner currently processes around 3,000 certificates a year. This involves manually reviewing each certificate for formal errors and test results, which can take up to 10 minutes per document depending on its length. This time-consuming task involves comparing data from various sources to ensure that only certificates with accurate information are deemed valid, as well as verifying the test results. Digitalising this process would significantly optimise the workflow. Our approach focuses on:
- Streamlining data extraction from documents with varying layouts, resulting from differences between certification laboratories and the unique testing requirements of each device.
- Validating the extracted data against expectations from various data sources.
- Generating a user-friendly summary of the certificate's evaluation, including clear reasons why a certificate did not pass the review.
